I read the story The Rabbit Goes Duck Hunting
I like this story because it is about someone who is a boastful liar and gets called out for being one. I think I would rewrite this story as people, but again as someone who tries too hard to one up everyone. I think I would write it about two guys who are friends and one is a professional rock climber. He is talking about it to his friend when his friend claims he too is a professional. The first guy doubts it so he sets up an excursion together. They start climbing, and not even half way up the cliff face the second guy falls. Luckily he is harnessed in so all he gets is a few scrapes and some gnarly bruises.
