I would rewrite this story as a man who tricks his way into getting a girlfriend by saying he is a successful entrepreneur with lots of money and a great job. She dates him, but quickly realizes he isn't pulling in as much money as he claims. He always complains about how his business partners are lazy and things aren't going well for him because he is doing it all by himself. One day, the girl spies on him and finds out that HE got fired from his own company because HE was the lazy one. She confronts him and they break up.
