I did the Pomodoro experiment yesterday while I was doing my homework. I have no classes on Fridays but I am taking 18 credit hours plus doing research with a professor and am taking two mini weekly lecture series for my college and with my professor I am working under, so I literally always have a ton more work I could be doing. It is hard to balance everything without feeling completely overwhelmed. I got to the library at 9 yesterday morning and did this until noon. I went through one full cycle and then stopped halfway through the second cycle for lunch. I liked this strategy because it allowed me to stay focused but not overwhelmed. Giving myself a very specific time slot for work and for breaks helps me manage my time a lot better and minimize my stress. I really liked this strategy and I might continue to do it, especially on days when I have long periods of time for working.
